Groundlings

Back in 2010, I began training at Groundlings in the Basic Level I class (which I think is now called Improv Workshop A).

I *loved* these classes. I learned so much as an actor, but I learned a bunch as a writer.

• how to craft a scene
• how to hone in on what the character wants or needs
• great practice at saying “yes, and” not only to my scene partners but also to my own self while writing
• how to be fearless
• how to change power in a scene
• tricks for breaking through writers block

So much good stuff.

I would have taken more if I’d had the time!
